Bespoke Handcrafted Furniture

About JSPickett Furniture
James studied the art of furniture at The National School of Furniture, Bucks New Uni in High Wycombe.
It was here, from the excellent tutors and the countless hours at the bench, that he acquired a vast range of knowledge and skills required to make fine furniture. Fascinated by the process of taking a raw material like wood, and creating a finished functional product gives immense satisfaction.
Upon leaving James had gained a distinction in HND Furniture Studies and a First class Honours in Furniture Conservation, Restoration and Decorative Arts.
This furthered James skillset immensely and from here he has continued to hone his craft designing and making beautifully handcrafted, freestanding and fitted furniture over the last decade. Great pride is taken in the level of craftsmanship applied to each and every project and a keen eye for detail results in fine furniture built to last.

There are no brochures here; everything is made specifically to your desired requirements; meaning it will fit perfectly within the space.
Each and every job is unique and it is designed with that in mind, giving you a high end finished look, that fits your personal style seamlessly.

Sustainability is of great importance to us here; only sourcing the finest timbers from FSC certified suppliers, ensuring that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.
When it comes to the finishing process we promote the use of environmentally friendly finishes that are low in VOCs(Volatile organic compounds). Safer for the environment and your home environment.
The preferred finishes here are a oil/wax blend for a more natural finish and feel on all timbers or when a painted finish is required opting for a hand painted finish with high quality paint. spray finishing is also an option if desired.
